Wizer, Padlet, Adobe Spark are here this week …

May 15, 2020

In this week’s update we have three more tools for you to take a closer look at.

With Wizer, you can create your own worksheet or you can search the Community Worksheets area for worksheets created by other teachers. It’s easy to use and free!

Padlet is a powerful digital tool that allows you to facilitate collaborative learning, reflection and sharing content. It is a digital noticeboard where users can post text, images, videos and links in an online space. It is particularly useful for gathering input from your students.

Adobe Spark is an online and mobile application that is ideal for both students and teachers as a creative application and integrated storytelling platform.

We are introducing a fourth theme on the site – Technology and Pedagogy. Academic models have been developed to help clarify the appropriate use of technology in teaching and learning. In this section we will cover some of those models. Today we share content with you on one of the most widely used – the TPACK framework. We will continue to develop this section in the coming weeks.

Finally, we are launching a new section on the Resources section of the site. We have partnered with Anders Pink, whose AI-driven content curation engine enables us to surface relevant articles on education and learning from Ireland and around the world. Through this partnership we hope to bring you additional relevant and timely articles for your consideration. We would like to thank Stephen Walsh and his team for their participation in this initiative. View the feed here.

Until the next update, good luck and stay safe!
