Planning and Preparing for End of Year Events

June 5, 2020

As the school year winds down, we are releasing our final content on tools for teaching until later in the summer. There are now eighteen different tools available for your consideration and we hope these are helpful to you. However, we will be continuing to update other parts of the site over the summer months so do continue to check back with us.

This week’s tools are Socrative, Quizlet and Google Apps for Education. Socrative is an online assessment tool that allows teachers and learners to track progress through formative assessments. Quizlet is an engaging and fun app that allows students to study information through a variety of learning tools and games. We also take you through the Google Apps for Education which are particularly powerful for collaborative and team learning.

Continuing our series of blog posts, our Academic Dean here at Hibernia College, Denis Cummins has written a thoughtful blog on the positive educational disruptions of COVID-19.

Finally, we have added a video of our Design Lead, Stephanie Quinlan, demonstrating the features of Animoto in the context of end of school year celebrations.

As always, you can find the recordings of the webinars on the Resources page and we continue to update educational articles from around the web in conjunction with our partner, Anders Pink.

Until the next update, good luck and stay safe!
